1675 Venue Rental Policies


Policy Updates & Modifications

1675 Venue reserves the right to update or modify its Rental Policies at any time. Renters agree to comply with the most current version of the Rental Policies in effect on the date of their event.

Rental Times & Rates

Rental Rate: $350 daily rental fee
$200 refundable deposit

Rental Hours: 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM
(All events must fully conclude by 11:00 PM.)

Partial-day or Hourly rentals are not available

What’s Included in Your Rental

  • Use of the indoor venue space

  • 70 chairs

  • 6 round tables (60”)

  • 3 rectangular tables (8’)

Kitchen access includes:

  • Refrigerator

  • Microwave

  • Sink

  • 2 rectangular tables (6’)

  • 2 rectangular tables (8’)

Basic Cleaning tools:

  • Broom and dustpan 

  • Spray Mop

  • One large trash bag per event

Not Included

Event décor, event setup, cleanup services, staffing, supplies, food, beverages, WiFi, additional audio/visual equipment and accessories. Any additional items are not provided unless expressly stated in writing.

Payment & Deposit

  • Full payment is due at the time of booking (no holds without payment).

  • A $200 refundable deposit is required. The deposit will be refunded to the original form of payment within 5 business days after the event, provided the venue is left clean, undamaged, and all policies are followed.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

The rental fee is non-refundable and bookings cannot be canceled once confirmed.

  • Each reservation may be rescheduled one time, subject to availability. The new date must be within 6 months of the original event date.

  • Reschedule requests must be made 31 days or more before the event date. Requests made 30 days or less before the event may not be accommodated. The rental fee remains non-refundable.

  • The refundable deposit is refunded after the event, provided the venue passes inspection and all policies are followed. 

  • The refundable deposit is not refunded if the event does not take place. 

  • If 1675 Venue is unable to provide access to the facility for the scheduled event due to circumstances outside of its reasonable control, the renter will receive a full refund of the rental fee and refundable deposit paid to 1675 Venue. No additional compensation will be provided.

Occupancy & Liability

  • Maximum occupancy is 100 guests. 

  • The venue provides seating for up to 70 guests.

  • At no time may the total guest count exceed 100 regardless of the seating. 

  • The renter is solely responsible for ensuring guest count does not exceed 100 people. The venue is not liable for fines, penalties, or safety issues if this occupancy limit is exceeded.

  • 1675 Venue reserves the right to require immediate reduction of guests or terminate the event without refund if it becomes aware that the occupancy limit has been exceeded.

  • The renter is responsible for all guests, vendors, and activities associated with their event. To the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law, 1675 Venue shall not be liable for accidents, injuries, theft, or loss of property arising from or related to the renter’s event.

Cleaning & Damages

  • Basic cleaning is required, including sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, removing all trash, leaving restrooms in a clean, orderly condition and putting chairs back in carts.

  • The renter is responsible for checking the outside perimeter of the building and ensuring all trash, food, and debris left by guests are removed before leaving.

  • Any damage, excessive cleaning required by the venue, or policy violations will result in loss of the deposit and may result in additional charges.

  • The venue must be left in the same condition as it was found.

Decorations

  • No nails, screws, tape, adhesives, hooks, or fasteners of any kind may be used on walls, doors, trim, ceilings, or any surface. 

  • Decorations must be freestanding or placed on tables or chairs only.

  • All decorations must be removed after the event.

  • Popped balloons and decoration debris must be cleaned up inside the building and outside the building.

  • Confetti, glitter, and confetti-filled balloons are not permitted inside or outside the venue due to cleanup and debris issues.

Tables & Chairs

  • For safety, consistency, and inventory control, only tables and chairs provided by 1675 Venue may be used inside the facility.

  • Tables or chairs brought by renters are not permitted inside the building to prevent floor damage and inventory mix-ups.

  • Tables and chairs provided inside the building may not be taken outside to prevent rocks and debris from scratching the floors when brought back inside.

  • Any missing, damaged, or substituted tables or chairs will result in charges deducted from the refundable deposit and/or additional charges being assessed.

Smoking

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the building. 

  • Smoking is allowed outside only. 

  • Cigarette butts must be properly disposed of and may not be thrown on the ground. 

  • Failure to comply will result in loss of the refundable deposit and may result in additional cleaning charges.

Alcohol

Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises at all times.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Beer, wine, liquor, mixed drinks, and alcoholic beverages of any kind

  • Alcohol brought by renters, guests, vendors, contractors, or any person

  • Consumption, possession, distribution, or storage of alcohol anywhere on the property

Any violation of this policy will result in:

  • Immediate termination of the event without refund

  • Forfeiture of the refundable deposit

  • Additional charges for any cleaning, damages, or other costs caused by the violation

Renters are fully responsible for ensuring all guests, vendors, and attendees comply with this policy. No exceptions will be made.

Indoor Cooking

  • Crockpots and hot plates are permitted. 

  • Frying, open-flame cooking, or propane appliances are not allowed inside the venue. 

Outdoor Cooking

  • Outdoor cooking must take place only in the designated cooking area located in the gravel area between the garage and the venue.

  • Outdoor cooking must be at least 15 feet away from the building due to heat, flames, grease splatter, and wind carrying residue onto the building.

  • No cooking equipment, food preparation tables, or supplies may be placed against or directly next to the building to prevent grease, food residue, and damage to the structure.

  • Cooking is not permitted near entrances or doorways to prevent smoke, odors, and grease from entering the building.

  • The renter is responsible for all spills and cooking residue and must clean them before leaving the property.

  • Do not dump grease or leftover food anywhere on the property.

Any damage or additional cleaning required due to outdoor cooking will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and may result in additional charges.

Inflatables & Bounce Houses

  • Inflatable bounce houses, water slides, or similar inflatable equipment are not permitted on the property at any time.

Additional Guidelines

  • Noise and music must be kept at a reasonable level. 

  • Children must be supervised at all times. The renter is responsible for the behavior of all guests and for any damage to the venue.


Wi-Fi & Internet Access

  • 1675 Venue does not provide Wi-Fi access for renters or guests.

  • Due to limited internet speeds, the connection must be reserved for building operations and security systems.

  • Renters and guests should plan to use their own cellular data if internet access is needed.

  • Wi-Fi passwords will not be provided or shared under any circumstances.

Television Use

  • Screen mirroring or streaming may be available using the renter’s own accounts, but functionality is not guaranteed.

  • No cords, devices, or technical support are provided. Do not unplug, move, or modify any equipment.

  • Renters must log out of all personal accounts before leaving.

  • The venue is not responsible for any unauthorized use or charges to personal accounts.

  • Damage or misuse will result in loss of the refundable deposit and may result in additional charges.

Animals

  • Animals are not permitted inside the building at any time. This includes pets, emotional support animals, and therapy animals.

  • Service animals as defined by law under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted.

  • Unauthorized animals inside the building will result in loss of the refundable deposit and may result in additional cleaning or damage charges.


Interior Lighting Instructions

  • Use only light switches marked with gold star

  • Do not use or adjust light switches with clear protective covers


Lock-Up Responsibility

The renter is responsible for securing the building at the conclusion of the event.

Before leaving, renters must:

  • Turn off all light switches with the gold star label

  • Ensure all exterior doors are fully closed and locked

Failure to properly secure the building may result in forfeiture of the refundable deposit and/or additional charges.




Optional Renter’s Insurance & Liability Disclaimer

  • Renters may choose to obtain short-term event or renter’s liability insurance for their own protection against accidental damage, injury, or loss involving the renter, their guests or vendors while on the premises. 

  • Any insurance obtained is optional and solely the renter’s responsibility. 

  • 1675 Venue does not provide or extend insurance coverage for the renter’s event, guests, vendors, or activities.

  • To the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law, 1675 Venue shall not be liable for injuries, damages, or losses arising from or related to the renter’s event, including but not limited to bodily injury, property damage, or theft occurring on the premises.

  • The renter remains fully responsible for all guests, vendors, and activities associated with their event.

Security & Surveillance

Exterior areas of the premises are equipped with video and audio surveillance for security and property protection purposes. By entering the premises, renters and guests acknowledge and consent to video and audio recording in exterior areas. No surveillance devices are located in restrooms or other private areas.

Right to Decline or Cancel Bookings

1675 Venue reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings from individuals, groups, or parties associated with prior policy violations, including those who have previously violated venue policies, caused damage to the facility, or failed to comply with cleaning and usage requirements.

If a booking is made by an individual associated with prior policy violations and must be canceled by 1675 Venue, a $50 administrative cancellation fee will be deducted from the payment and the remaining balance will be refunded. This fee covers payment processing costs and administrative time.

By completing a booking, the renter acknowledges and agrees to these terms and authorizes 1675 Venue to process applicable administrative fees if a reservation must be canceled due to prior policy violations.


Condition Documentation

1675 Venue documents the condition of the facility before and after each rental. Any damage, excessive cleaning, or policy violations identified during post-event inspection may result in forfeiture of the refundable deposit and additional charges if necessary.

Facility Systems & Circumstances Beyond Venue Control

The renter acknowledges that building systems are maintained regularly; however, mechanical systems such as heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, and appliances cannot be guaranteed against unexpected malfunction. In the event of a system issue, 1675 Venue will make reasonable efforts to address the problem or attempt to provide a practical resolution so the event may continue.

The renter understands and agrees that circumstances beyond the venue’s control may occur. 1675 Venue shall not be held responsible or liable for disruptions caused by mechanical issues, utility interruptions, weather conditions, accidents, road closures, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Such occurrences do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, discount, or reimbursement for event expenses or related costs. 1675 Venue is not responsible for any costs incurred by the renter or their vendors, including but not limited to catering, decorations, rentals, entertainment, or other event-related services.

Temperature preferences may vary among guests, and while the venue makes reasonable efforts to maintain comfortable conditions, specific indoor temperature levels cannot be guaranteed.

The inability of a renter or their guests to attend, dissatisfaction with the event, or unforeseen issues during the event do not constitute grounds for refund or reimbursement.


Acknowledgment

By booking online or signing in person, the renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the Rental Policies outlined above.
